Warranty Service
If something's wrong with a roof we installed, this is where you tell us. Read the sections below before you fill out the form — they cover what's included, what isn't, and when there's a cost.
What we're going to look at
We've always stood behind our work this way. This is the first time we're putting it in writing.
This warranty covers our work: how the roof was installed. Our flashing, our fasteners, our details, our decisions. If the roof is leaking because of something we did, we come fix it, and it costs you nothing.
It runs 10 years from the date of completion, applies to the original owner, on a job that was paid in full.
The other two warranties
If your roof was installed with Malarkey products, the manufacturer issued you separate coverage. These are three different warranties, from two different companies, with three different sets of terms.
| Warranty | Who backs it | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Slade 10-Year Workmanship | Slade Roofing | How we installed it |
| Malarkey 50-Year Product | Malarkey Roofing Products | Defects in the shingle itself |
| Malarkey 25-Year Leak | Malarkey Roofing Products | Leaks, under their certified-system terms |
Filing this form starts a Slade workmanship claim. If we get out there and find the problem is a manufacturing defect, we'll tell you, and we'll help you file it with Malarkey — but that's their claim, on their terms and their timeline, not ours.
Before you file
We'll come look at no charge if the problem is our workmanship. If we come out and find the leak isn't covered by our workmanship warranty, there's a $195 inspection fee — $300 if you're more than 60 miles from our nearest office.
We charge it because a warranty visit costs us a crew and a truck whether or not the problem turns out to be ours. We'd rather be straight with you about that now than surprise you with an invoice later.
